‘Pokemon Go’ is available now for iOS and Android devices. (Nintendo)
Pokemon Go is preparing to launch a special week-long Thanksgiving event, during which players receive double the number of XP as usual. But the Lucky Egg item already gives users double XP when it’s activated, so how will this work during the Thanksgiving special event, exactly? Is it possible to get a quadruple bonus, or will the Lucky Egg effect just not apply this week?
Niantic answered this question on Twitter today, confirming that when using a Lucky Egg during the Thanksgiving celebration, players will receive four times the XP as normal.
This presents a huge opportunity for Pokemon trainers to gain a significant amount of XP during the next week. The decision also makes sense for Niantic, as Lucky Eggs can be purchased from the game’s shop and so this will likely result in a major sales boost.
Pokemon Go‘s Thanksgiving event begins on November 23rd, and it concludes the following week on November 30th. So what are the best ways to rake in all the XP possible during that time? Well, you get XP from a lot of basic tasks, including catching and evolving Pokemon. If you have any creatures in your inventory that you are ready to evolve, you might want to wait until tomorrow to do so, as evolving a Pokemon with a Lucky Egg activated will give you 2,000 XP.
To give you an idea of how to make the best use of your time, the following chart illustrates all the ways to get experience points and exactly how much of it you will get if you use a Lucky Egg during the Thanksgiving event, therefore earning a quadruple bonus:
Action | Reward (Using Lucky Egg During Event) |
Throw a curveball | 40 XP |
Get a “nice throw” | 40 XP |
Get a “great throw” | 200 XP |
Get an “excellent throw” | 400 XP |
Hatch a 2km egg | 800 XP |
Hatch a 5km egg | 2000 XP |
Hatch a 10km egg | 4000 XP |
Successfully capture any Pokemon | 400 XP |
Successfully capture a new Pokemon species | 2000 XP |
Unsuccessfully capture any Pokemon (i.e. the Pokemon flees) | 100 XP |
Capture your 100th Pokemon of the same species (then 200th, 300th, etc) | 400 XP |
Evolve any Pokemon | 2000 XP |
Visit a Pokestop that has fewer than six items | 200 XP |
Visit a Pokestop that has six or more items | 400 XP |
Visit 10 unique Pokestops within 30 minutes | 400 XP |
Defeat a Pokemon in an enemy gym | 400 XP |
Successfully clear an enemy gym | 200 XP |

This is a card that I got from my very first Theme deck, and about a year ago me and some friends picked up our cards again and started playing, I used butterfree, muk and beedrill in my deck and this card was my pride and joy, it was great at taking down strong cards with many energy cards. One of my friends used a magikarp/gyarados deck, and his gyarados was always taken down by my butterfree. I was really sad when i had to take it away from my deck, cause the cards gets stronger and stronger :/ I also like the artwork
My favorite card would have to be the mother of all Pokemon cards. I really love it, and I even have one. Maybe not this exact set, but I still have it.
I remember when I was REALLY little, my mom's friend spent $75 on one for me for my birthday, and I put it through the washing machine on accident....
Oh, to be young.
1. I like how it looks as if Salamence is like flying out of the card.
2. His HP is a whopping 160, which is the highest HP I have ever seen.
3. Its Poke-Power, Double Fall, is really helpful. When you lay your Salamence LV. X onto your regular Salamence, if that LV. X knocks out any opponent's Pokemon this turn, you get to take an extra prize card!
4. Steam Blast, I think, is one of the best moves ever. Only takes four energies (one water, one fire, two colorless) and it does 100 damage. You have to discard one energy, but that's no problem because every turn just attach an energy and attack again. Also, it's best if you have a double colorless energy so you can attach all its energy onto it in only three turns.
Here's what I don't like:
1. It has a weakness to colorless (x2). At least people don't like colorless Pokemon as much as let’s say fire or water.
2. Takes two energies to retreat. Yeah, they are colorless and yeah, that makes up for its wonderful HP.
3. It has a resistance to fighting-type, but only -20. It's a LV. X, so it deserves at least like a -30, but I'm not Nintendo.
Well, that wraps up my review. I'm glad there are more pros than cons otherwise this card wouldn’t be in my deck (which I strongly recommend). I need that "Shiny" Bagon from the Arceus expansion as well as that Salamence. But actually I have two "Holo" Salamence in my deck from Diamond & Pearl (I think). If you'd like to see this card, follow the steps below.
1. Go to www.Pokebeach.com
2. On the sidebar, search for where the headline is "Card Scans".
3. Click on Diamond/Pearl Sets.
4. Scroll down the list until you see Arceus. Click it.
5. At the very bottom of the set, you'll see a picture of the card. Click it and it'll blow up (its set number is 98/99, so it's almost the last card).
Thanks for reading, and I hope you'll put this card in your deck!

Then just scroll to the bottem to see the Salamence LV. X!
My favorite card is the Illustrator Pikachu. I love the artwork because it has a Pikachu with drawing items. It is one of the most valuable Pokemon cards because there is only a few in the world. Lately I heard it valued to over 20,000 dollars( I can be false or inaccurate, this is what I heard). I like it the most because it reflects on what i like to do the most. Drawing.

this is my favorite because I got it from a friend who moved away
me and my neighbor are suprised at how many cards you have! We both have two binders worth, but they are not completely filled!
my friend got me this for my 8th birthday. it was around 60-100$. he never told me. I still have it, and the reason why it is my favorite is because my friend went to all the trouble of getting it, while he was sick. 3 weeks later, he passed on. i have kept it as a memory ever since.
Mainly because, I love the look of it, and because it was my first card given to me. I've only been collecting/playing Pokémon since 2009, but I'm gathering a nice collection and making some awesome decks.
This was my first holo and in the pack i was able to get poliwag and poliwhirl so i could evolve all the way the day i got it and in the base set it was a pretty strong pokemon
This one has to be my favorite. I actually had it work in a deck with the base legendary birds; Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. For most basic or stage 1 evolves it works well against, the energy discard makes it almost a surefire deck killer though teamed up with the right trainers,(Nightly Garbage Run - Rocket series 1 :D) it is not so bad.
Firstly neither of these cards were my first card that I got. That was a Holo Jolteon from Jungle, my cousin gave him to me when he started collecting a few months before I did. Still have that exact card in a sleeve in mint condition.
So, the two cards fighting for first place are:
Feraligatr HGSS07 Promo Prime
http://pokebeach.com/scans/heartgold-soulsilver-promos/7-feraligatr-prime.jpg
I just love the artwork. That cheeky look on his face always makes me smile when I look at my card. And he doesn't have bad HP, or attacks. His Poke-POWER could be better though :/
And the second card is:
Raichu GL 31/111 Holo from Rising Rivals
http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/5/5c/RaichuGLRisingRivals31.jpg
Unfortunately I do not own this card but am in the process of collecting all Raichu cards so I will soon! I /adore/ this artwork, the general look of the card is awesome. On a lot of Raichu cards they tend to screw up his colours but these are spot on. His attacks aren't bad, neither is his HP considering he isn't a Level X or whatever, but I may just be bias :P

its hp is 180 and his first move is frozen wings-60:
discard a special energy to the defending pokemon.
and it second move is

basically u can only use the move once during a battle :)
and its weakness is two metal energy
and its retreat coast is 3 energy
well thats my Favorite card,i hopeu think its a good card :D
1. Articuno (i like it because I got it from my Samurott tin).
2. Armaldo ex (because I got it from a friend.
http://www.serebii.net/card/undaunted/086.shtml
I dont know if this counts but my favorite pokémon card is definetly the Trainer card, Alph Lithograph, which is the rightmost card in bottom line of this link:
http://pokebeach.com/2010/08/all-hs-undaunted-scans-japanese-rulings
not just that it looks cool, i like the idea about having the unown letter alphabet and forcing the player to solve what this card does. i hope you notice the letters at the top left corner in the card, it says trainer with Unown alphabet.
for those who hasnt got time to read and solve what it says, i will give you the answer now.

I got this one in a trade for a palkia, because I played Diamond and preferred Dialga. Unfortunately suffered the fate of the washing machine.
And Primetime, the shining Charizard is rather impressive, I must say :3.
I have great memories of pulling this card from a Thundurus EX tin.
